Hi. I’m Tim, a true East Frisian. In my blog I deal with topics that I am always enthusiastic about, mainly in the areas of Linux, software quality and free software.

From the day a Schneider CPC 464 found its way into my parents’ house, my career path was set. Before that, I wanted to be a cook or an elevator operator, but from then on it was going to be something to do with computers.

I took my first steps into working life as a software developer and wrote components for output management, which were used by major customers with printing and packaging centers. I moved to Switzerland and, as IT & Security Linux Administrator, took on the task of averting all serious IT threats to ensure the continuous operation of the mail center. Finally, I returned to my home country, where I have since been working as a software tester for a software manufacturer of critical infrastructure in the energy sector, ensuring the necessary software quality so that the lights don’t go out anywhere.
