Elevator Pitch

At the beginning of September, I had the opportunity to speak at a company event in front of an audience of around 300 people and get them excited about my idea, which was then to be discussed in more detail in a round table. As I wasn’t the only person with an idea and the time for presenting the idea was limited to two minutes, a colleague at work drew my attention to the elevator pitch.

Have you ever thought about how to attract attention in just one minute and present a complex idea in an understandable and convincing way?

Finding the right balance between persuasion and brevity is the art of the elevator pitch. With a little practice, you can present your ideas convincingly in any conversation, presentation or meeting and make yourself heard.

This is how I presented my idea:

Imagine you could use the powerful capabilities of artificial intelligence for your software development without having to worry about data protection.

Yes, it is possible!

Apart from the big commercial providers such as ChatGPT & Co., there are very powerful AIs in the open source world that now deliver similarly good results. And even on normal (i.e. affordable) hardware. You don’t need an expensive super-computer.

So what are we waiting for?

Let’s keep control of our data and still take advantage of all the benefits of artificial intelligence. AI can support you in many ways, for example, it can examine your code for possible errors or vulnerabilities, explain a colleague’s code to you, help with documentation or even with writing unit tests.

If this is an exciting topic for you, then you are cordially invited to visit me in room xyz.
